The final day of the 10th All India Inter-School Cricket Tournament in memory of Bhai Gobind Singh Pasricha had new colours and spirits. It was the day of final match between M.G.N. Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar and Kundan Vidya Mandir, Ludhiana. The match was scheduled for 25 over. Toss was won by M.G.N. Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar and they opted for bat first. In the first inning Mr. M.P. Pandav, Hony. Secretary of Punjab Cricket Association Mohali was honoured as Chief Guest. He was given a flowery welcome and presented a momento as token of remembrance by S. Jarnail Singh Pasricha, Chairman of Organizing Committee and Hony. Secretary. The Chief Guest presented kits to both Umpires and blue colour kits to KVM and red colour kits to M.G.N. team. Players in colourful dress added new colours to the ground. Mr P. Pandav was formally introduced to both the teams. The other delegates and guests were Mr Ramnik Singh Kalra, S. Gurmohan Singh, S. Gurpreet Singh, Ms Satwant Gakhal, Principal M.G.N. Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar, Mr. Surjit Rai Bitta, Sect. JDCA, Member Punjab Cricket Association, Mr Harjinder Harry, Vice President JDCA, Mr. V.K. Mehta, Add. Session Judge, Jalandhar and Executive Member, Punjab Cricket Association. Lot of curiosity was seen among the spectators also.
Second Inning was graced with the presence of M.P. and the Ex. Capt. of Indian Cricket Team, Mohd. Azharuddin. He was given gala flowery welcome by S. Gurinder Singh Narula, Chairman M.G.N. Educational Trust, Jalandhar and S. Jarnail Singh Pasricha, Hony. Sect. He was formally introduced to both the teams and was also presented a momento as a token of love and remembrance. M.G.N. Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar won the match with their marvelous performance. Everywhere band and cheers were heard for M.G.N.’s team victory.
